We participated in the due diligence of a big M&A transaction in the Chemical industry. In this project we evaluated for the potential buyer a multinational specialty dyes and chemicals company. The target company was a market leading total solution provider with strong traditional roots in Europe and worldwide operations in locations in Germany and Switzerland as well as manufacturing sites in Europe and China. A special focus was on the product and technology portfolio and international production sites of the target company. A topic of particular interest in the project was a planned joint venture with a Chinese production company.

A private equity fund based in the Netherlands engaged StepChange Innovations GmbH in the due diligence of a major European textile chemicals company. The target company, a spin-off from a multinational large cooperation, operates production units in various European countries. The focus of our involvement in the due diligence was the judgment of the clients technological and commercial market position, in the view of a complex and fragmented competitive landscape. The cooperation also included a diligent assessment of the active product portfolio as well as the targets´ R&D pipeline and patent portfolio.

A private equity fund based in the United States has seeked advice from StepChange Innovations GmbH in the due diligence of a European based textile printing equipment manufacturer. In particular, the focus of the due diligence was ink jet printing on textiles. StepChange Innovations GmbH advised in judgment of the clients technological and commercial market position, amidst major technology developments of competitors in the area of ink jet printing.
